Inspired by Stamping

with No Comments

Hello again,

Here is another challenge over at the Aud Sentiment Challenge Blog. This week we are creating a card, or any type of project that is created with clear or rubber stamps. Be sure to check out everyone’s fabulous projects here.

For my card I used the Lawn Fawn ‘Loveable Legends’ clear stamp set. I did some embossing with black embossing powder of the trees and the footprints, since I was doing some ink blending overtop. To create my super soft and subtle blue sky I used Clarity brushes and ranger inks. This just allowed the application of the ink to be light, and soft.

The blue paper background was heat embossed with snow flakes and white embossing powder. The silver glitter tape was placed across the top right corner. I added the googly eyes as a finishing touch to make the loveable guy a little more loveable.

Here is my final card! Thanks for checking it out!

Paper Shelter Challenge

Another week, with another challenge at the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog! Make sure you stop over there to check out all the great work the team did. This week’s theme is ‘Anything but a Birthday Sentiment’. The digital stamp i used is I miss you. We are grateful to be sponsored by the Paper Shelter this week. Be sure to check out there great digital stamp collections!

To create this card I cut out a rectangle around my image which would be the card front. I used some fun bright glitter paper for my card base. The image was coloured in with Spectrum Noir markers. My sentiment and little hearts is stamped from Hey Foxy stamp set. The beautiful girl is such a great focal point and really didn’t need too much to jazz it up in my opinion, but I really seem to like clean and simple style. Here is my finished card:

I’m glad you stopped by and visited! Every two weeks we have a new challenge at the Aud Sentiment Challenge blog! Be sure to check back!

Paper Nest Dolls Fairytale card!

with 2 Comments

Welcome to a new challenge at the Aud Sentiment Challenge Blog! This week we are promoting our sponsor at Paper Nest Dolls! My digital image used is called Fairy Emma with Unicorn and you can get it here. Be sure to go to the challenge page to see all of the other wonderful designs!

For this card I stamped a flower background using Simon Says Stamp ‘birthday flowers‘ stamp set. I used a few different purple inks. The center oval was die cut and then I used a clarity brush to lightly brush on some Ranger Distress ink. The Paper Nest Doll image was coloured with pencil crayons, and then over top I used Glossy Accents to make the image stand out more. The fairy tale stamp is taken from the My Favorite Things stamp set called Magical Unicorns. Of course matching purple sequins had to be added for some final touches!

Here is my final card!

Tax Time Fun!

with No Comments

Who doesn’t love doing a little tax inspired crafting?! Is it weird if I enjoy it? I saw this stamp set by Riley and co and just knew that it was the perfect sentiment! You can find this hilarious stamp here.

I first die cut a panel with stitched edging and stamped the sentiment in black versamark ink. I found these cute little tax kitties in the Mama Elephant ‘little cat agenda’ set. I stamped them in the same black versamark ink, and coloured them using my Spectrum Noir markers. For the card base I used a striped pattern paper from the Simon Says Stamp card kit from April 2016, and a matching solid piece of red paper.

Now to send this card to my favourite accountant!

Gorgeous Foiled Peacock

with 3 Comments

Hi everyone! I was on a brief break due to missing some creative mojo, but I got back into the groove when I saw this beautiful Peacock digital stamp! (Peacock is from Ike’s Art). Immediately upon seeing it I knew that I was going to foil this! I hope you enjoy the finished product!

This project is created for the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog! Come check out the design teams projects and enter your own for a chance to win!

To create my card I first printed out my stamp onto 80lb white cardstock using my laser printer.

Using my MINC, I placed blue foil overtop of my peacock and made sure that it was completely covered.

The foil and the peacock image were sent through my MINC at the heat setting of 4.

Once I cut out the foiled peacock, I coloured the image using Spectrum Noir markers.

I stamped my sentiment using Ranger Embossing Ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder.

Here is my finished product!

In case you feel like the leftover foil is wasted, here is what I did with the leftovers! I do love recycling!

To start I attatched a piece of strong clear acetate to the back of the foiled peacock to add some stability. I used dry glue to prevent any glue from showing through.

Next I die cut a window in my card front. I used a stitched square die from Simon Says Stamp. I adhered the peacock panel in behind the stitched square.

Here is the finished product with a stamped sentiment.

Happy Valentines Day!

Valentines Day is just around the corner. The challenge this week at Aud Sentiment Challenge Blog is “Valentines or Love Sentiment”. Check out the challenge blog for all of our projects and to add your own!

I decided to create a ‘shaker’ card filled with fun pink coloured sequins for my Love themed card. The patterned paper is from Crate paper along with the sentiment stickers. I used an Avery Elle heart die cut to create the shaker window.

Well there you have it! My simple looking pink valentines card! Thanks for stopping by to check it out!

Hole in one Hal!

Welcome to the next Aud Sentiment Challenge Blog Post! This week we created masculine cards using Dr Digi’s images!

This guy is perfect for dads, or any men in your life. I always have a hard time finding something masculine to make, and now Ive got this guy to use! I’m so excited to see what I can make with him. I have created two projects so far with him and I have them here for you to see!

To get this Hole in one Hal visit Dr Digi’s House of Stamps!

For this card I used the Simon Says Stamp set from the “Showered with Love” May card kit from 2016.

This second card I created with some matching manly patterned papers. Don’t you know a man who owns a patterned vest in that orange and blue?!

First Challenge of 2017

with 3 Comments

Welcome to the first challenge of 2017 at the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog! This challenge is an “Anything Goes” theme, so be sure to create whatever your heart desires. This week I created a winter scene and kept all of the fun on the inside of the card, and wanted it to appear like a Pop-up card. The stamp set I featured is the “Joy to the Woods” set by Lawn Fawn.

Some other items that I used to create this card include Distress Inks, and blending tools. I splattered some white watercolour paint overtop to appear like snow. I also used the Lawn Fawn “Bah Humbug” stamp set for my “warm winter wishes” sentiment, and “Let it Snow” is from Pretty Pink and Posh’s “Winter Bird Friend”. The colouring of the critters was done with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Thanks for checking out my card, and be sure to check out the Aud Sentiment Challenge Blog to see everyone’s creations!

Sweet little baby card

with No Comments

Welcome! I am here with a adorable and super colourful baby shower card! I love that I didn’t have to do very much colouring with this card (since I am not very talented in that department). The only thing coloured is the little bear. I used the Wplus9 stamp set “Going Places” and the coordinating die set. The balloons are a die from Mama Elephant and I used a different shade of blue cardstock, along with the same green that I used for the grass. For the grass hill I used a die from My Favorite Things called “Snow Drifts“. The stamped words are from Altenew Baby Zoo stamp set.

I dressed up the envelope as well, and I just love this colour scheme! So cute for a boy!

Thanks for visiting, and be sure to check back again for the first challenge of the new year from Aud Sentiments blog!
