Gorgeous Foiled Peacock

with 3 Comments

Hi everyone! I was on a brief break due to missing some creative mojo, but I got back into the groove when I saw this beautiful Peacock digital stamp! (Peacock is from Ike’s Art). Immediately upon seeing it I knew that I was going to foil this! I hope you enjoy the finished product!

This project is created for the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog! Come check out the design teams projects and enter your own for a chance to win!

To create my card I first printed out my stamp onto 80lb white cardstock using my laser printer.

Using my MINC, I placed blue foil overtop of my peacock and made sure that it was completely covered.

The foil and the peacock image were sent through my MINC at the heat setting of 4.

Once I cut out the foiled peacock, I coloured the image using Spectrum Noir markers.

I stamped my sentiment using Ranger Embossing Ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder.

Here is my finished product!

In case you feel like the leftover foil is wasted, here is what I did with the leftovers! I do love recycling!

To start I attatched a piece of strong clear acetate to the back of the foiled peacock to add some stability. I used dry glue to prevent any glue from showing through.

Next I die cut a window in my card front. I used a stitched square die from Simon Says Stamp. I adhered the peacock panel in behind the stitched square.

Here is the finished product with a stamped sentiment.
