Inlaid Die Cutting

with No Comments

Hello there! Welcome to my most recent camp create challenge project. This challenge was to create a card by doing some inlaid die cutting. I wasn’t quite sure what that meant at first, but it means that your card remains flat, and when you die cut a shape, or word, you also die cut from your card front and place your piece in the negative space. Here is a picture of what I did and what I am trying to explain, which I don’t think made any sense.

As you can see in the above picture, the window is completely flat onto my card base. This technique would definitely be helpful to keep your cards flat, since mine tend to grow and grow with many foam layers! I have a timelapse video of how I made the card, I hope this helps you visualize how it was done.

Some noteable products that were used for this card, are the My Favorite Things BB Cool Cats and BB I Knead you stamp sets. From My Favorite Things also the Classic Window die cut was used.

Here is the finished card! Thanks for stopping by, and check out some of my other cards, or stay tuned for more cards created for the Camp Create challenge!
