This is the final project for the My Favorite Things Camp Create! They have been so great this summer at keeping us crafters crafting through the summer. I don’t want to think that summer is almost at an end, but I can feel it, as the temperature is starting to cool down outside. But as summer comes to a close, that also means that autumn is on its way! I love a cool breeze, and the changing colours of the leaves. I can’t wait to make some more fall cards!
Back to summertime, and this card. The stamp set is the My Favorite Things I Knead you, and Cool Cats. I used a watercolour panel that I die cut with a stitched border. I stamped my images in Memento black die ink. I then used my Gansai watercolours to colour them in!
Don’t ask me how to watercolour, I am kind of just winging it right now. I blot my image a lot, because I don’t want my ink to run, and that also makes the colour look a lot more pastel like, which adds a soft summer element to my card.
To watch the sped up version of how I made my card check out this video on youtube. Be sure to subscribe to see when I post a new video!
These two look just like my two kitties!
Here is my final card, which is a single layer of stamping, and then glued down onto a 4.25 x 11 inch card base which is folded halfway at 5.5 inches.
